Planning Services are responsible for coordinating land use to ensure growth and development occurs in an organized, rational manner while maintaining and enhancing the quality of life.

This is accomplished through long range plans, initiatives such as the Municipal Development Plan, Area Structure Plan, and Land Use Bylaw, Policies, Procedures, and Regulations.

The City of Camrose is preparing the East Gateway Area Structure Plan (ASP). The ASP will define the future land use for lands located in northeast Camrose. Click here to view the draft.

Land Use Bylaw #2838/15 - Effective January 1, 2016 
Council of the City of Camrose gave third and final reading of Land Use Bylaw #2838/15 on December 14, 2015, and will be effective on January 1, 2016.

What's Happening In My Back Yard?
The City is implementing an Area Structure Plan (ASP) requirement for most undeveloped areas.   As ASP's are presented to Council before being adopted by Bylaw, you can have a say too!   Watch for advertised notices.
