Councillor Kevin Hycha

Biography


Councillor Hycha is honoured to be serving his second term as Councillor.
 
Kevin Hycha grew up in a small town not far from Camrose.  After high school he went to trade school to become a License Journeyman Heavy Duty and Automotive Mechanic.  He moved to Camrose in 1987 to work for Camrose Truck Center, (now Glover International Trucks) the day it opened.   He worked his way up through the ranks and now is the General Manger of the Camrose location, and Director of Service for all six other Glover locations.

Kevin met his wife Carol (who also moved to Camrose in 1987) and now have two children, Amy and Thomas, and their family dog Chloe. 
  
Kevin has been active in youth soccer and hockey for a number of years and has been a past member of Toastmasters and the Camrose Police Commission for seven years (three as a Citizen at Large and four on Council). 
 
When time permits, he likes to travel, golf, hockey, camping, fishing, curling, and long distance running, and has even tried Pickleball!
