Property Tax Payment Information
Property Assessment and Tax notices are mailed by mid-May each year. If you haven't received your tax bill by the end of May, please contact the Tax Department at 780.672.4426. Your taxes are due on or before June 30 to avoid penalties. On July 1, a 6% penalty is applied to the outstanding balance of the current taxes. There is a 1.5% penalty on outstanding taxes on the 1st of each month.
The early payment of taxes by January 31 qualifies for a 1.5% incentive. The incentive is paid on any dollar amount up to the equivalent amount of your previous years’ taxes. The early payment incentive does not apply to taxpayers who are on our Tax Installment Payment Plan.
Tax Installment Payment Plan
The City of Camrose Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) is a simple, secure and convenient way to pay your annual property taxes. TIPP allows you to have a payment automatically withdrawn from your bank account each month, from January to December. The plan simplifies your budgeting by dividing your yearly property tax bill into smaller monthly sums, and saves you time by automatically debiting your bank account each month. Click here to view the TIPP Authorization Form.
