Proposed Rudy Swanson Park Road Closure and Land Use Amendment

City of Camrose Planning & Development Services has submitted an application to close a portion of undeveloped road right-of-way located west of 54 Street near the Community Center. If closed, the undeveloped road right-of-way will take on the adjacent I – Institutional Land Use District. The application also proposes to amend the land use designation east of 54 Street and south of 45 Avenue from I –Institutional Land Use District to PR- Parks and Recreation Land Use District.

Closing this portion of undeveloped road right-of-way and redistricting a portion of lands in Rudy Swanson Park allow for better accuracy of land use assignments to reflect the physical location of existing buildings and infrastructure. There are no development changes to any of the fields, buildings, or uses in Rudy Swanson Park as part of this project.

Administration will host a Community Open House at the Recreation Centre in Room 3 on October 3rd, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm.

City Council will hold a Public Hearing of the proposed amendment and road closure on October 15th at 5:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers, 5204-50 Avenue, Camrose, AB.
