Households in Camrose can now operate and attend garage and yard sales, with the following health and safety precautions to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19.
The person hosting the garage sale is ultimately responsible for ensuring that orders of the Chief Medical Officer of Health Orders are followed at the sale. Hosts must:

At the Regular Council Meeting on June 15th, 2020, Council voted to extend the ban on Garage Sales until further notice in an effort to help protect our community from the spread of COVID-19. We know residents are anxious to host Garage Sales, so we are continuing to examine all options that would allow them to be held safely and will post another update when it is available.

At the Regular Council Meeting on June 15th, 2020, Council voted to end the State of Local Emergency (SOLE) as a result of having a period of no active cases in Camrose and the City’s ability to manage the current state without the declaration in place. If there is a change to the COVID-19 situation in Camrose, the City is able to recall the SOLE. The 2020 Property Tax Notices will be mailed out on May 22, 2020, therefore property owners should be receiving them sometime between May 25 – 29, 2020.
The City of Camrose has deferred penalties on all property taxes until September 30, 2020 to support those struggling with the effects of COVID-19. However, anyone who is able to pay by the original June 30, 2020 due date is encouraged to do so.
