Single Use Plastics Update in Procurement Policy

We're taking another step towards environment sustainability! Starting May 1, 2023, our updated Procurement Policy will include that best efforts are made to procure meals and snacks that limit plastic waste with respect to single use plastics and Styrofoam use.

Save time and submit your concern online!
We've upgraded our systems to allow residents to report non-Bylaw and non-emergent concerns online! These issues (e.g. snow removal, traffic lights, potholes, broken branches, etc.) can be quickly and easily submitted in this new system so that it is automatically directed to the correct department and staff can start resolving the concern quicker. No account or registration is required.

The Creative City Network of Canada (CCNC), a national non-profit organization made up of municipalities, organizations, and individuals that support cultural development in their communities, recently held their “Awards of Excellence”. City of Camrose Launches New Notification Software

The City of Camrose is excited to announce the launch of a new notification service for the residents called “Voyent Alert!”.
Voyent Alert! is a multipurpose notification service that will be used to communicate important information to residents. Notifications will be sent for critical incidents like fire, flood, and extreme weather, as well as day-to-day communications such as road closures, schedule updates, and new programs.

After consultation with residents and collaboration with staff, City Council is proud to present the 2022 – 2026 Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan describes four Strategic Focus Areas that are essential elements to our community’s continued success. The Strategic Focus Areas aim to move us closer to our long-term vision for Camrose and our long-term outcomes for a thriving and sustainable community as described in our Municipal Sustainability Pillars.
