The Creative City Network of Canada (CCNC), a national non-profit organization made up of municipalities, organizations, and individuals that support cultural development in their communities, recently held their “Awards of Excellence”. For this initiative, a volunteer peer jury conducted a review of all submissions and selected successful candidates from last summer. Free Sand for Residents to Use

The City provides a sand-salt mixture for individual use on sidewalks bordering private properties. This helps breakdown snow and ice, making it easier for residents to remove.
Residents can find sandboxes at the following locations:
- Rec Centre parking lot by the compost area(4412 - 56 Street)
- Lions Centennial Park on Main Street (4952 – 50 Street)
- The Senior’s Centre/Mirror Lake Centre (5415 - 49 Avenue)
- Recycle with Centra-Cam (4402 - 51 Avenue)
- Camrose Auto Shine (5222 - 51 Avenue)

Seasonal Dog Park Open at Golf Course

The summer off-leash dog park through the Stoney Creek valley and ski trails are now closed and the winter off-leash dog park is now open at the golf course!
The 'south nine' at the Camrose Golf Course has been designated as the dog off-leash area over the winter period. View a map of the Winter Seasonal Off Leash Dog Park.
When you're at the golf course:
- Please don't walk or let your pets walk on the course if frost is present
- Please watch out for Golf Course staff as they will still be doing work...
