2024 Major Construction Projects

The following roadway and utility projects are scheduled for construction this year pending final funding arrangements. They're all part of the continuous effort to improve the transportation and utility networks of the city. Your co-operation and caution around construction areas is appreciated!

The City of Camrose is undertaking a significant new project aimed at enhancing services for residents through the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. FREE Bus Rides, Starting July 2nd!

Following a recommendation from the Community Transit Advisory Committee, Council approved the elimination of bus fares, starting on July 2nd, in alignment with the launch of the new route.
By not charging bus fares, we hope to:
- Help eliminate barriers to transit use
- Reduce the risks to drivers by eliminating the need to handle cash or have cash on board
- Reduce administrative costs associated with managing cash
- Reduce infrastructure costs required to transition to a cashless system

After an extensive review process, the City of Camrose, in collaboration with Rose City Handi-Van and the Community Transit Advisory Committee, is excited to announce upcoming changes to the Community Bus route.
