This online platform will be used as a public engagement tool to increase knowledge of City projects, build an active online community, provide a consolidated and respectful space for residents to interact with one another, and grow the public’s involvement in City processes.

Council Approves Non-Motorized Recreation on Local Water Bodies

Council approved a policy that allows City of Camrose bodies of water to be open to the public for non-motorized recreation from the beginning of May to the end of September from 7:00 AM to dusk or 10:00 PM (whichever is sooner).

Council Votes to end Swan Program

In a unanimous decision, City Council voted to end the swan program due primarily to ethical concerns of keeping wild animals confined for five to six months a year, as well as managing offspring and trading the birds every three years.
The decision was not an easy one as Council acknowledged the iconic nature of the birds and how many people enjoyed their presence.
