After consultation with residents and collaboration with staff, City Council is proud to present the 2022 – 2026 Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan describes four Strategic Focus Areas that are essential elements to our community’s continued success. The Strategic Focus Areas aim to move us closer to our long-term vision for Camrose and our long-term outcomes for a thriving and sustainable community as described in our Municipal Sustainability Pillars.

City of Camrose Upgrades Rec Centre Boilers to Save Energy and Money

The staff at the City of Camrose diligently monitors our facilities through routine maintenance and upkeep. It had been noted a few years ago that the original boilers put in the Encana arena were becoming very old and inefficient. In an effort to do our part in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we saw the opportunity to upgrade the boilers, and possibly receive a refund of a portion of the install costs back from the Municipal Climate Change Action Committee (MCCAC).

City Launches “Our Camrose” – A New Public Engagement Tool

The City of Camrose is excited to announce the launch of “Our Camrose!”
This online platform will be used as a public engagement tool to increase knowledge of City projects, build an active online community, provide a consolidated and respectful space for residents to interact with one another, and grow the public’s involvement in City processes.

Council Approves Non-Motorized Recreation on Local Water Bodies

Council approved a policy that allows City of Camrose bodies of water to be open to the public for non-motorized recreation from the beginning of May to the end of September from 7:00 AM to dusk or 10:00 PM (whichever is sooner).
