City of Camrose to Open Playgrounds, Courts, the Outdoor Gym, and the Skate Park

Posted On Friday May 22, 2020

The outdoors are beginning to re-open! The City of Camrose will be opening playgrounds, courts, the outdoor gym, and the skate park at noon on Saturday, May 23. We are as excited as you to get back out on the fields and courts, but City Parks staff still need to finish preparing the equipment for opening so we ask citizens to respect the noon opening timeline.

Enjoy safely! The City is reminding users that they must maintain physical distance of 2 meters and gathering limits of less than 50 people as per orders by Alberta Health Services.

Each outdoor area will have rules posted for use of the area and the City will be monitoring the areas for compliance with the rules.

For all areas, we are reminding users that we are not sanitizing the areas and equipment so they are using at their own risk. As such, users are responsible to sanitize their hands and any equipment before and after use. Users on courts must also engage in solo play unless with members of the same household or family cohorts. League play and pick-up games or scrimmages will not be allowed.

Have fun and stay safe!
