Every year, the City of Camrose hosts our highly anticipated Household Hazardous Waste Roundups in June and October. This year, in partnership with Alberta Recycling, Camrose County, and the Village of Bittern Lake, the event has expanded and been renamed the "Recycling Roundup" to reflect an extended collection list. The Recycling Roundup is an excellent opportunity for residents to responsibly dispose of a variety of materials, ensuring they are handled safely and sustainably.
As usual, we’ll be accepting household hazardous waste which includes unused products containing corrosive, toxic, flammable, or reactive ingredients, which should never be trashed or poured down the drain.
This year's event also accepts electronic items—if it has a cord or batteries, it can be recycled! Eligible items include games, toys, music devices, small appliances, power and air tools, and lawn and garden equipment (excluding gas-powered items).
Join us in contributing to a cleaner and greener Camrose by participating in the Recycling Roundup at the old Public Works Building, October 18th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and October 19th from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
