The Browns Socialhouse Canada Day Afternoon Stage will be positioned on the grounds of the Camrose Centennial Museum. Following an Official Opening Ceremonies, the Browns Socialhouse Canada Day Afternoon Stage promises an exhilarating lineup of entertainment that will captivate audiences of all ages! 

Opening Ceremonies

The Canada Day Official Opening Ceremonies begin with a procession led by a lone piper followed by the Camrose Legion Colour Guard and the City of Camrose Fire Department Honour Guard, along with the Cadets marching in perfect unison. Local dignitaries then take the stage to deliver speeches, reflecting on the community's spirit and the nation's pride, marking the official commencement of the day's festivities.

CanaDogs

The SuperDogs are throwing a birthday party for Canada, and everyone's invited! An all-Canadian cast, all-Canadian music and even some Canadian breeds come together for this fun and furry celebration that will have you laughing and cheering on the world's most amazing dogs!

• Watch, laugh and learn as they present a Canadian Heritage Minute starring the SuperDogs live and in person; see them race against time, each other and never-ending construction on their most challenging course ever called The TransCanada Highway; and so much more!
• Then keep the party going after the show at their famous Pat N' Chat™ where you can meet the stars of the show!
• Catch them celebrating their home and native land in this brand-new show, CanaDogs!

Camrose Veselka Ukrainian Dancers

Camrose Veselka Ukrainian Dance Society (CVUDS) was founded in 1983 by a group of parents interested in preserving Ukrainian culture for their children through dance. The CVUDS was formed a year later as a non-profit society.

The CVUDS endeavours to preserve the "art" of Ukrainian folk dance and the Ukrainian culture. The society also strives to provide students with the opportunity to develop an appreciation for Ukrainian dance and attain the highest personal level of achievement possible.

Studia Shumka Ukrainian Dance

As part of its 30th Anniversary season, the Shumka School of Dance (SSD) established Studia Shumka in the Fall of 2018. This junior performing ensemble acts as a bridging program between the School and the professional Shumka company.

These emerging young artists train over ten hours per week in Ukrainian, character, ballet and contemporary dance, and have built a repertoire for performances throughout the community. On occasion they train, rehearse and perform with the professional Shumka dance company, in anticipation of their evolution into the next step of the Shumka Family.

Ballet Camrose

Ballet Camrose offers highly technical training, competition experience, and a family-oriented atmosphere. To offer the highest quality of dance training, all of our staff are fully certified and have the experience to provide high caliber classes. At Ballet Camrose, we offer provincial examinations in our junior grades ballet classes, as well as international Cecchetti ballet examinations for our grades and major grades classes. In addition, we offer provincial examinations in the Al Gilbert tap syllabus and provincial examinations in our comprehensive jazz syllabus.

At Ballet Camrose, we strive to create well rounded, multi-faceted dancers by offering examinations, as well as competition experience. We attend four competitions each year which all provide a positive, constructive atmosphere and opportunity to grow studio pride.

We value a positive learning atmosphere at our studio where the student is able to learn at their own pace and to the best of their personal ability. We aim to provide our students with the necessary skills and experience to train in many different forms of dance, to create positive self-confidence and a wide skill set for future opportunities.
