| Acrylic Landscapes with Judy Schafers: Canola and Clouds |
|
 Immerse yourself in the vibrant beauty of a golden canola field under a deep blue sky. In this workshop, you will learn techniques and tips to capture these stunning summer hues using acrylic paints. The design is flexible, allowing you to create this scene in any size you prefer.
Throughout the session, there will be live demonstrations and personalized coaching to guide you. This workshop is designed for those with some experience, from beginner to intermediate skill levels.
Topics covered include:
- Preparing your canvas or board for optimal results
- Adapting the design to suit your chosen surface
- Working with a limited palette and color mixing techniques
- Utilizing glazing mediums and other essential methods
- Painting clouds and achieving vibrant color contrasts
- Creating depth and a sense of distance in your artwork
Supply List:
- Canvas or wood panel (size of your choice)
- Acrylic paints and glazing mediums
- GAC 100 (if available)
- Brushes and a palette (such as a stay-wet palette or equivalent)

 Join professional watercolour artist Willie Wong as he guides you through the process of creating a watercolor painting at this weekend workshop!
He will explore a very Albertan theme of an old, abandoned car in a natural environment. Willies class "Watercolour For All" is an exciting way for watercolorists of any skill level to learn the basics and advanced skills.
Personal Supplies needed. Please bring Watercolor 11x15 paper, watercolour paint and brushes. Willie recommends Arches 140 lb cold pressed paper.

|
The Red Cross Babysitting course has been refreshed and revised, now with a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency. This course is available for youth between the ages of 11-15 years.

| Stay Safe! Courses |
|
Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Red Cross Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth's capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations. This course is for youth between the ages of 9 - 13 years.
