Details: "Conversation Connectors" will be attached to Camrose benches throughout the trail systems to allow seniors and youth to connect by providing conversation starters inevitably leading to fun stories!

Seniors' Bike Tune-up & Ride

Details: In conjunction with Bike Week, join us for an 8km road ride and discover some more laid-back trails the city has to offer. This ride will provide an opportunity to have your bike tuned up and receive maps of the trails systems suitable for any level of riding!

Nordic Walking Poles

Details: Lesley Hansen, a kinesiologist at the Camrose Healthy Living Centre, will be leading a Nordic Poling Seminar. During the 1-hour session you will learn about the benefits of poling as well as the best poling technique for your fitness, mobility and goals. There will be time for practice and questions. Poling has benefits for all ages and fitness levels! If you are currently using a walker or a cane it is best to check with your healthcare provider to see if poles are appropriate for you or attend a one-on-one session. Poles will be available, but you are also encouraged to bring your own if you have a pair.

Aquatic Centre - "Try it, You'll Like it!"

Price: $6.75 drop in fee
Details: Try Aquafit, lane swimming, water walking, and water therapy! All of these classes are frequently offered at the Mayor Aquatic Centre. Seniors are encouraged to try something new to contribute to their fitness and health!

Intergenerational Art Classes

Details: Join us at the Chuck MacLean Art Centre and learn how to create art from other generations. Learn how to paint an Acrylic Flower (taught by 96-year-old Peggy Jensen from 11:00am - 12:30pm) and a Watercolour Cards Art Lesson (taught by 25-Year-old Jayda Calon from 10:00am - 11:00am).
