The City's two assessment review boards established by bylaw are:
- The Local Assessment Review Board hears complaints about assessment notices for residential property with three or fewer dwellings and farmland, plus some types of tax notice.
- The Composite Assessment Review Board hears complaints about residential properties with four or more dwelling units and non-residential assessments.
The Local Assessment Review Board and the Composite Assessment Review Board is currently made up of the following members:
- John Bibo - Appointment Expires 2026
- Don Cherkas - Appointment Expires 2027
The Boards have no limits for membership and are always recruiting. Members are required to complete a mandatory provincial certification training program every three years. The Boards meet as required.
