Kawasaki Disease Awareness Day Proclamation

Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children and the cause of the disease is still unknown, more than 50 years after it was discovered. The need for awareness and advocacy continues to be a vital foundation of support for international partners and charities like Kawasaki Disease Canada.

Therefore, Mayor PJ Stasko has proclaimed January 26, 2026 as Kawasaki Disease Awareness Day in the City of Camrose.
