Max McLean Arena is Back in Action!

The City is pleased to share that the ice at the Max McLean Arena is now ready for use. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of City staff, the ice surface has been successfully rebuilt, allowing the arena to hit the ground running with a couple tournaments this weekend and many other scheduled bookings.

Over the past several weeks, crews completed extensive repairs to the ice plant and worked long hours to restore the system and rebuild the ice as quickly as possible. This included replacing major components, flushing and refilling the cooling system, conducting testing, and carefully rebuilding the ice surface layer by layer. Staff also put in extra time to closely monitor the system throughout the process to ensure everything was operating safely and reliably.

We are incredibly grateful for the commitment and effort our staff demonstrated to get the arena back up and running in time for scheduled events.

The City would also like to thank user groups and the community for their patience, understanding, and cooperation while this work was completed.
