Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness Month Proclamation

Over-exposure to UV radiation is one of the major causes of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. For communities across Canada, it is imperative to be reminded of the importance of sun safety.

The Save Your Skin Foundation is dedicated to education, advocacy, and awareness initiatives around melanoma, non-melanoma, and ocular melanoma.

Therefore, Mayor PJ Stasko, on behalf of the City of Camrose, hereby proclaims May 2026 as Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
