Residential Curbside Recycling Begins the Week of October 12
Changes Coming to Recycling starting the week of October 12, 2026!
Curbside recycling begins in Camrose the week of October 12 on your regular waste collection day. Recycling will be collected biweekly, and the Recycle Depot will remain open for residents.
Download your collection schedule, find accepted materials, and learn more at www.circularmaterials.ca/camrose. Residents can also download the Circular Materials app from Google Play or the App Store for recycling information and collection reminders.
No Clean Cardboard or Paper Accepted in Green (Organics) Carts
Clean cardboard and paper products have not been accepted in green carts since the City removed them as accepted items in April 2025. Knowing that curbside recycling was coming through the new Extended Producer Responsibility program, the City continued collecting green carts containing these materials during the transition to help keep recyclable materials out of black waste carts.
Clean recyclable cardboard and paper products can now be placed in your residential curbside recycling bag or taken to the Recycle Depot.
This is the final week that green compost carts containing significant amounts of clean cardboard or paper products will be collected. Beginning next week, carts containing these materials will be tagged with a red violation notice and left uncollected.
Thank you for helping reduce waste, improve recycling outcomes, and keep valuable materials out of the landfill.
