The 25-metre lap pool has eight lanes, a diving board, and eight diving blocks for competitions. It's used for aqua exercise classes, public swimming, swim club practices, and training for the Tsunami's Lifesaving Sport Club. This is a versatile pool that serves many user groups.

The Mayer Aquatic Centre features an accessible in-ground hot tub that offers a warm, relaxing spot to unwind. The hot tub is centrally located in the facility between the lap pool and leisure pool.
The hot tub comfortably fits about 25 patrons at a time.

The Leisure Pool is made up of three main sections: the lazy river, the tots' area with a zero-step ramp/play castle, and a shallow pool. This pool is used for aqua fitness, swimming lessons, and as a warm up pool during swimming competitions.

Located beside the Mayer Aquatics Centre, the Spray Park operates daily from 10:00am to 9:00 pm between Victoria Day and Labour Day weekends. Designed for kids of all ages, the Spray Park is accessible, free, and refreshing. You could be the first to name this newly renovated feature!

The Fitness Centre is located in the aquatics part of the Recreation Centre and has recently upgraded cardio section (2025). This space sees about 7,500 annual users.

The second floor lobby of the Recreation Centre’s Spectator Events Arena is a bright, open area where spectators gather before games and during intermissions. All event attendees will pass through the lobby during special events including hockey games, concerts, bull riding, and televised provincial and national competitions.

The lobby of the Mayer Aquatic Centre serves as a reception area for both the fitness centre and pool area. The space is a bright, welcoming space. There are 113,400 people who pass through this lobby annually.

The main floor of the Recreation Centre is first point of contact as people enter the recreation centre and reception for the recreation centre staff. Over 153,000 people pass through the lobby annually.
