Canada Day Update

Due to the weather forecast, most Canada Day activities have moved indoors to the Max McLean Arena. The Pancake Breakfast and the Powwow! Ohcîwin: The Origins Exhibit at the Camrose & District Centennial Museum will remain at their original locations. Fireworks are currently scheduled to proceed.

Browns Socialhouse Afternoon Stage Lineup

The Browns Socialhouse Canada Day Afternoon Stage will be at the Max McLean Arena. Following an Official Opening Ceremony at 11:00 AM, the Browns Socialhouse Canada Day Afternoon Stage promises an exhilarating lineup of entertainment that will captivate audiences of all ages!

Three Hat Circus

Prepare to be amazed with balancing acts, crystal ball juggling, staff spinning, and more!

12:00 PM

Canada Day Drumming with the National Congress of Chinese Canadians (NCCC) 

Drum together with communities across Canada in a powerful simultaneous drumming experience with NCCC community performers! Audience participants receive a free drum while quantities last!  Experience cheongsam fashion, Tai Chi, dragon and lion dances, and martial arts!

Miss Matriarch | Presented by Marrisa Moccasin

Miss Matriarch is a grassroots Indigenous-led nonprofit dedicated to uplifting Indigenous families through cultural reclamation, traditional arts, and community connection. Founded by Marrisa Moccasin of Treaty 6 Territory, Miss Matriarch provides land-based and intergenerational teachings rooted in kinship, and healing.

Marrisa Moccasin is a multi-international award-winning beadwork artist, women’s Traditional powwow dancer, and mother of five. She serves as the Program Coordinator for the Red Deer Indigenous Dance Troupe and has presented across Turtle Island at major events such as the Canadian Country Music Awards, Calgary Stampede, and Red Deer International Powwow celebrations. Marrisa brings culture to life through visual art, performance, and story.

For the Camrose Canada Day celebration, Marrisa and her family will host a tipi experience offering gentle, come-and-go teachings on the tipi, cradleboard, and owl. The day will close with a powwow dance demonstration, honouring the beauty and strength of Indigenous family and tradition.

Camrose Veselka Ukrainian Dance

For over 40 years, the Camrose Veselka Ukrainian Dance Society has been sharing the beauty and energy of Ukrainian folk dance. With vibrant costumes, intricate footwork, and lively music, their performances are a crowd favourite and a cherished Canada Day tradition in Camrose.

Ballet Camrose

Elegant, technical, and expressive – Ballet Camrose delivers top-quality dance education and performance. With a repertoire that includes ballet, tap, and jazz, these dancers bring skill and grace to the stage. Their Celebrate Canada performance is sure to inspire and impress!

Relevé Dance

Relevé Dance Studio is a welcoming and inclusive dance studio in Camrose, Alberta, dedicated to helping dancers grow in confidence, creativity, and technique.
